A Couples' Enrichment Weekend Retreat

Renewing Connections

The option to join an ongoing couples group is one of the distinctive characteristics of Heart to Heart. Some of these groups meet monthly for a year or two, others have been together for three to 15 years, and at least one group has been meeting for more than 22 years. We believe this testifies to the powerful structure and impact of creating community to support and nurture couples and their commitments to each other. The lives and relationships of numerous participants have been strengthened through Heart to Heart.

Everyone's needs and schedules change from year to year.  Our jobs, families and relationships present both challenges and opportunities.  As a result, couples sometimes find it necessary to leave their ongoing groups.  When this happens, the departing couple and other members of their group might decide to stop participating.  Other couples and groups actively seek new or renewed connections.  From time to time, ever since Heart to Heart was first created, retreat leaders have been contacted by past participants and asked for advice about how to connect with other couples or ongoing groups.

Shrinking groups look for new members.  Stray couples look for new groups.  For years we have relied on a word-of-mouth network.  It has worked - sometimes.

Our hope is that the web pages accessible here will facilitate new connections between groups and couples.
